Charitable Outreach
The Appointed Professionals Advisory Council is comprised of representatives elected from organizational units recognized by The University of Arizona President. Council members are allocated according to the number of Appointed Professionals per unit.

APAC officers consist of a Chair, Past Chair, Vice Chair (also known as Chair Elect), Treasurer, and Secretary, and they are elected to one year terms by the council.
APAC holds regular monthly meetings and an annual meeting, with special meetings called as needed to address specific and time sensitive issues.
The following permanent committees carry out APAC's roles and responsibilities:
Temporary, Special and Ad Hoc Committees are established to address special and short term concerns and issues of the University.

APAC participates in Shared Governance of The University of Arizona and represents Appointed Professionals. Other governance groups include the Faculty Senate, Staff Advisory Council (SAC), Associated Students of The University of Arizona (ASUA) and Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC). These groups work in collaboration with the University administration, providing information and input related to UA policies and procedures, personnel issues, strategic planning and other decisions relevant to their constituents.
Shared Governance Memorandum of Understanding
A primary means by which APAC represents Appointed Professionals' concerns and initiatives is by APAC representatives serving as members and liaisons for the following University of Arizona areas and committees:
APAC sponsors charitable outreach activities and the committee also supports charitable activities sponsored by other campus units.
